At the time I enrolled into this independent study course, the UMass Dartmouth campus was considering using sustainable wind-powered energy. My assignment was to come up with an event, or plan on campus to reach out to the campus board, faculty and students, and educate them on why UMass Dartmouth should implement reusable energy. I developed the idea of having an exhibit in the gallery on campus, where people could come and learn more.
I created a 3D model, produced all content, and all the designs for large trade show displays in this exhibit. As part of the "wind powered" concept, I strategically organized and designed the flow of the exhibit to represent the shape of a windmill, where people could weave in and out of the displays and learn something in each of the different aspects I displayed. The oversized designs also helped conceptually remind the viewers how big the windmill would be, and how much impact there would be on campus.
